The Wedding Morning

Falling asleep on Saturday night was almost impossible. I think my bridesmaids and I stayed up well past midnight. I tossed and turned all night (or all morning), having crazy dreams, and getting more and more excited for my alarm to go off!

After showering and getting dress, the phone started ringing and there were constant knocks on the door. My mom and her friend, Terri, showed up first with my dress, all of our food, and random items for our day. The next knock was Danielle Erb, my makeup artist. which was followed by Lindsay, my bridemaids' hairdresser. With both ladies ready to go, hair and makeup began. Danielle started on Ali's makeup while Lindsay started with Kate's hair.Next, it was my turn for makeup (definitely need to get that done before the photographers arrived)! Danielle did such a wonderful job while I sat, relaxed, and enjoyed my mimosa! The Browers and Kristal arrived mid-makeup and started shooting away! Meanwhile, my bridesmaids hair was getting finished, my mom got her hair and makeup done, and my sister's hair was finished and looked AMAZING!I thought she looked like Carrie Underwood! It was beautiful! Finally, it was time to get my hair did...Hot look, huh?Who knew that the head of huge curls would turn into this...Almost done!!! And what were the boy doing while the ladies were being pampered? Well, playing Rock Band, of course!Once all of my ladies were ready to go, it was time to put on my dress and meet Mike. Well, not without another mimosa!DRESS TIME! Seriously, after the weekend of celebrating (aka eating and drinking) I was really nervous that my dress wouldn't fit! Normally, my sister can zip it up on her own...but for some reason, extra reinforcements had to be brought in! Oh...don't worry...our photographers and videographers caught the WHOLE THING...all 5 minutes for the struggle. Ali and Michael look a little nervous behind me!Luckily, we got zipped and I was ready to go! "Does it fit? Do I look ok?"Can't leave without the shoes and garter (which by the way was AMAZING!). I ended up wearing my grandmother's garter with lace from my mom's dress sewed on it. It was so cool!

It was finally time to go meet Mike. We met upstairs by the abandoned ballrooms. Seeing Mike as he stood by the window got me so so excited. There were so many emotions running through me, but most of all, I was just ecstatic! I love this picture! There I am...approaching my husband-to-be.I just love that series of pictures. Such a wonderful feeling! Such a beautiful moment! The Browers let Mike and I be alone for a few minutes and we wandered into an empty, dark ballroom. The only light came from a few chandeliers on the wall and one can light from above. Once the Browers found our secret spot, they had to take advantage of the amazing room.Who gets down on the floor, minutes after putting on a dress, getting hair done, and meeting your husband on your wedding? Apparently, I do! I didn't know how I felt about it at first...but when the Browers say "jump," I say "how high?" I trust them more than anything and I knew they would get amazing images (which they did)!

As we headed to the elevators to meet our bridal party in the lobby, the Browers shot one last picture. Seriously, it was a spur of the moment thing where I plopped down on a little chair, looked toward the light and look what happened....They BLOW MY MIND! I love it!!! Anyways, we meet in the lobby, hop on the bus,and head to the Jewel Box to get married!YAY! Whew...that was a lot! Part two tomorrow :)
