He's Just Not That Into You

On Friday night, I went with some girlfriends to see He's Just Not That Into You. Cute chick flick...won't be winning any Academy Awards but very cute.I loved the book and it was fun watching it come to life on screen. Here are my few opinions and observations.
#1. Ginnifer Goodwin is freaking adorable! Her character was a little too clueless at times but she really is adorable!#2. Justin Long is too skinny! And not attractive (to me)! I just don't see it.
#3. I forgot how adorable I think Ben Affleck is. I really liked the relationship between him and Jen in the movie.#4. Scarlett Johansen really annoyed me in this movie. I usually like her but she played kind of ditsy a lot and I really couldn't stand her character. She is beautiful though. Oh...and I hated her outfits. Especially her light washed, high waisted jeans with holes in the knees. Uck. I didn't think they were capris but these might be them:#5. I just like the different dynamics of the character relationships and how they interacted.#6. Oh oh oh! Cameos by Audrey from Dawson's Creek (the hostess in the restaurant) and Ricki from My So-Called Life (left of the pic)It was definitely was enjoyable and cute! I have a bit of a cold so I am going to go to sleep now!

Thanks a lot...

Rhonda! Instead of running errands, I spent 2 hours of my life watching Twilight...again! She posted the link to the pirated version of the movie that you can find here! I really didn't think that I would sit through the whole thing again, but I did. At least it is only my second time seeing it.

But then I become obsessive and start Googling his name like a crazy person. Then I get this feeling that I haven't had since Leonardo Dicaprio stole my heart in Romeo and Juliet.Leo has always been my #1 and I know that a lot of people disagree. Don't hate...he was my first true celebrity love. I kind of feel like I am cheating on him now. I just can't help it though.Ok...I am done now...I hope. Does this man have a girlfriend? Just curious. Not for me, I swear. Just wondering.

Oh...and I am getting a little annoyed by all of the Twilight "haters" out there. I don't care if you have read the books or not but don't judge us crazy, obsessed people because we love it. I started reading the book because obviously, millions of people couldn't be wrong. Still to this day, I haven't met anyone that hasn't liked them. OK...again...off my soapbox.

He's Just Not That Into You

Anyone who is friends with me totally makes fun of the fact that I truly believe in this book. Mike even thinks that I am ridiculous when I talk about the book and its "theories." Bottom line...if a guy wants to be with you, then he will be with you. He won't care if he is busy, he won't care if it isn't the right time, he won't care about anything other than being with you. It is true!

I swore by this book my senior year of college. I had a crush on a boy (or two) and wondered why he never called. Then I started noticing a trend of when he was interested and I would drop anything to hang out with him. It was so so stupid! I got my hands on "He's Just Not That Into You" and it totally changed my outlook on things. I stopped making excuses for him and just got over it!

AND NOW...this wonderful book is a MOVIE! With an awesome cast! Have you seen the trailer yet? Check it out!

Vampire Talk

I think it is fair to say that I was pretty intoxicated after the Black and White Ball. The next morning, I called Mike from work to let him know how miserable I felt. He filled me in on a late night conversation we had the night before.

As I was falling asleep, I started talking about a coven. Mike didn't know what a coven is and I explained to him that it is a group of vampires. Here is the coven I was talking about...Apparently, I said how cold I was in our bed because I don't have a coven of vampires to warm me up. I told him that he obviously has a coven around him since he was warm (which if you have read Twilight, you know that vampires wouldn't even keep you warm). He said that he was laughing so hard and sadly, I don't even remember. When he told me, I was laughing so hard I was crying. My students thought I was crazy.

Does this mean that I am officially obsessed?

One more thing which I am on the Twilight subject...
is there anyone else out there that loves Jacob? I do. I really really do. My friend, Leslie, hates Jacob. I don't get it! He is a great friend...don't ya think!?

They have tshirts out there, you know?I would happily wear a Team Jacob shirt!I told my friend, Bina, that I love Jacob and her reply was, "I bet you liked Aidan too."UM YEA...I LOVED AIDAN!!! I always hated Big for Carrie! Apparently, I am a sucker for the underdog.

Twilight Review...

I just got home from seeing Twilight. I have heard a lot of reviews (both from my high school cheerleaders and the critics) and of course they were completely mixed. I would sum up my review by saying that I wasn't disappointed but I didn't leave feeling amazed. It was fine. It followed the book well, which I really appreciate. Books are always better...and always will be.

With that said, let me say that Robert Pattison is hot. Really, really hot. He is a beautiful man or boy...how old is this kid?OK, he is 22...I don't feel like a pedophile anymore. The casting for Edward was perfect. I doubted it at first. I just didn't picture Edward like this...but then I changed my mind! He was prefect and now I have a new celeb to lust over.

As far as the rest of the casting...I don't know. Bella was perfect. Just how I pictured her...maybe a little too pretty though. And skinny. I wish she would have been a little bigger. I did like her though.As far as the rest of the Cullens...hum?!?I'll just go down the line...
Emmett- Hot. Yes. Hot. Loved him.
Rosalie- Not pretty enough. I thought she was supposed to be perfection?! And did anyone else notice her acid washed jeans in the beginning scene? EW. No.
Esme- Well casted. Although I kept picturing her going crazy like she did in Grey's Anatomy. I am still mad at her for messing up Alex for awhile. Oh well...she was fine for this movie.
Carlisle- No. Creepy. Not good looking or fatherly. Not how I pictured him at all. And...wasn't that guy in some stupid teen movie as some kind of jock or something?!?
Alice- Perfection! She was great! Looked and acted just like I imagined.
Jaspar- WTF? He is totally creepy and did act like Edward Scissorhands. What was his problem? OK...I know what he problem was (he wanted to kill Bella) but he was totally a weirdo. I pictured him better looking too.

Although I am not doing back flips about the movie, I am sure that I will still go and see the sequels down the road. I am just so in love with the characters and the story and I know I will want more when I finish the 4th book.

If you are a Twilight fan, go see the movie. If you haven't read the books...I really wouldn't reccommend it. Mike didn't hate it but it thought it was kinda of boring. He prefers True Blood much more. Speaking of that, does anyone else watch that show?Isn't it just like Twilight? I think it is the porn version of Twilight. Mike agreed!True Blood's finale is on tonight and we are having a couple friends over to watch it. I think I will have my vampire helping for the day!

4 more days!

Twilight comes out on Friday, my dears! Unfortunately, I think that it is sold out for the new few weeks so I won't be seeing this movie opening weekend. Some of my cheerleaders are seeing the movie Thursday night (or I guess Friday morning) at 12:01 am! Now that is what I call dedicated fans. I don't know when I will get to see it but I can't wait! I just found some pictures from InStyle magazine.

Bella...oh I am so jealous of you... (even though you are just a fictional character)...Edward...you are so beautiful. I still love Jacob too though...don't get mad or jealous.Hot...Oh, I just can't wait to see this movie.

I really wasn't sure about the casting of Edward Cullen (duh...the sexy vampire of Twilight). I have changed my mind (thanks to Rhonda). This Robert Pattinson kid is pretty hot! Do you agree? YUMMY! I think after dinner, I am going to read some more of Eclipse! AHHH...I am crazy? Are you?
