We are famous...kind of...

About 6 months ago, an editor from The Knot contacted us to let us know that our wedding would be featured in the summer edition of their regional St. Louis and Kansas City magazine. On Wednesday, I got home to find a package from The Knot with 3 magazines. So cool! The little feature actually doesn't talk about our wedding at all. It just mentions how we met and how we were engaged, which I think is pretty special.

This weekend, I am locking myself at home and finishing report cards. Only 3 1/2 days of school left!!!

Reception pro pics...

I hit a bit of a stall on posting our wedding pictures. We are still waiting on the rest of our reception pictures, but who knows when they will arrive so I will just go ahead without them.

We arrived too late with out photographers so we don't have any pictures of the untouched tables and escort cards. We worked so hard on them and it is a bummer that we don't have professional pictures. Thank goodness my cousin took great ones when she arrived!

Here are some great decor/detail shots that I liked...
And of course, we danced...photos by Browers Photography

Are you sick of wedding pictures yet?

I have almost seen them all. I am just waiting to get the last set of reception pictures. Then I have to wait to get my DVDs of high-res pictures and my proof book. From there, we will have to chose our favorite pictures for him to make into an album. My goal is to get it all finished by our 1 year anniversary. And maybe we will have our video too!

After the ceremony and before the reception, we wandered around Forest Park and Washington Ave. Here are my favorite pictures from the day!The whole gang. It is so cool to have pictures of most of your favorite people in life! There two are my favorite! Someone forgot to take his sunglasses off so Mike said that he will photoshop them out!!! I just love these pictures! (Nikki...I think I used a picture of your wedding party for inspiration.)What was our obsession with water? It was pretty hot that day!LOVE THIS! So pretty! On to Washington...Who doesn't love to run down the middle of the street in their wedding attire?!Love...I hope you have a wonderful weekend. If you are sick of the wedding pictures, lucky you...only reception pictures are left!

More professional pictures...the ceremony

I have to say, I loved our wedding ceremony. It was so personalized and we definitely focused on us and our love. We met with my rabbi every couple of months throughout the year leading up to our wedding. We actually had met with him when we first started dating to get advice on interfaith relationships and marriage...but that is a whole separate post!

When I first met with my florist, I had a distinct vision of how I wanted my chuppah (wedding canopy) to look. I wanted white linens draped across the canopy and flowers in the corners. This picture was my inspiration ... When I first stepped foot to walk down the aisle, I stopped and soaked in the beautiful site. The Jewel Box in Forest Park is one of the most beautiful places in St. Louis. The plants, the flowers, my husband, my chuppah, and the hundreds of friends and family was a breathtaking sight.

Here are a few of my other favorites from our wedding ceremony.

I love how my dad and I are smiling at each other in this pictureA great shot of the roomWine ceremony Ring ExchangeWe did it!!!Some formal pictures...A few more pictures before we were kicked out!Ok...I know that was more than 10 pictures! The next set of pictures are my favorites but will be a separate post. They are of our bridal party around Forest Park and there are some AWESOME ones! Happy Monday, everyone!

It reminds me of all of the emotions that I was feeling at that moment.I did take boudoir pictures and make a book for Mike as his wedding gift. This picture cracks me up.This was so much fun...Time to get married!I love this picture of my sister with our marriage documents!I can't believe I narrowed hundreds of pictures down to 10!
