My fiance created yet another amazing part of our reception decor. He made little cards that fit into baby envelopes that will tell people what tables they will be seated for dinner. Our planner Sabrina gave us the idea after she created a board that she used at Ellen's wedding. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it is all finished!!!
My mom is delivering the Out-of-Town Bags to the hotels today! I can't believe that people are in town for MY WEDDING! YAY!!!
Aren't they so cute?! My sister and mom worked on them last night and they look GREAT! Mike (of course) created the inserts for the front of the bags!The finished programs!
Did I mention that we finished our programs last week?! I recruited my sister, my mom, and my mom's friend, Terri. My dad actually helped too but he was downstairs when I took the picture!

I put the papers in order, mike punched holes in the papers, and the ladies tied the ribbons. 
The ending product was AMAZING! Thanks for all of your help, ladies (and gentlemen)!
This weekend, Mike and I cranked out some of our final DIY projects! We printed and assembled our table numbers :) We printed out all of our program parts and they will be assembled on Wednesday. We worked on our Out-of-Town bags! We even started our escort cards. We picked up our menus that were copied at Kinko's too! Hopefully everything will be finished by this weekend. Here are some previews....

I have been wanting to post these for a while but I wanted to make sure our guests had received them first. Our rehearsal dinner invitations are now in the hot hands of our friends and family and now you can see them too! Since Mike's family is Greek, his family wanted to add some of their culture (and food) into our wedding weekend. It is such a great idea and Mike's talents again just blow my mind!!!

I was able to salvage some of my post with the invitation pictures so I am going to try this again. Invitations are arriving at peoples' homes today! SO EXCITING!!! It was such a great feeling to drop them off at the post office but I couldn't help but feel nervous. What if we spelled something wrong? What if we put the wrong time or place? What if we put the wrong stamp on them and they all get returned? (I actually had that dream last night!) I am pretty positive (about 99%) sure that none of those issues will be a problem but I guess we will find out soon! Here are some pictures of the hardest (but so worth it) project of our lives!!!
First, we cut large pieces of black paper into long strips and then folded them to create our tri-fold. (Oh, I forgot...usually when I say "we," I mean "just Mike." I did help on most parts but I can't take credit for most of it!!!)
Next, Mike (with my help and OPINIONS!) created the design for our invitations. This was stressful since there are so many wording options out there. When we finally decided on the design and words, we decided that we wanted thermography. Ellen's invitations were amazingly beautiful and she pointed us in the direction of Shamrock Printing. We were so happy with the quality and the great price but decided to save money by having them only create 1 thermography plate. This choice=HUGE PITA!!!
This required us to cut out all of the parts with exacto knifes. Seriously, I felt like a moron. This is so much harder than it seems. I think I ruined more invitations than I cut out correctly! Cutting in a straight line is hard!!! Once all of the components were cut, we were ready to start assembling. We even got the whole family involved!!!
This is where the details start to get tedious. My sister was putting stamps on the RSVP envelopes, I was cutting 6 1/2 inch long ribbons, my dad was removing excess sticky stuff from the edges of our green cardstock, and Mike was centering our invitations on the green cardstock and then centering those on our black tri-folds!!! (EDIT...I cannot believe that I forgot to mention my mom! She took this picture but she did so much work! The worst part for her... licking all 134 of them. Thanks, Mom!)
SOOO...we just went into work over load to get them all finished. It was actually fun when we figured out a system to make it go faster! When they were all finished, Mike even did all of the amazing calligraphy. I am so impressed...they are beautiful!

Our goal is to get our invitations out by July 1st. We were a little bit behind and actually just started assembling last weekend. We decided to get them printed with thermography which was a great idea. It was not as expensive as we thought we it was definitely worth it!!! I am not going to post pictures of the actual invitation until they are completely done and out. I just don't want someone to find a type-o or something wrong. I just want to get them out and then find problems (cause I can't to anything about it then)!!! I got the family to help out too!
We felt like little elves working on Christmas Eve! We actually got them mostly assembled. Mike is going to start on calligraphy this week! I am so lucky to have someone so talented...yet I feel so bad for him. I know that he is hating this! BUT...we both can agree...they look so freaking amazing. Although they have been a total pain, it is awesome to think that we have such unique invitations that no one else will ever have.
Oh yea...look who arrived today...
My JCrew satin clutch that I have been lusting about for months. Sadly, it might be a little too off-white for my wedding day. I might have to return it...or sell it to another lucky bride :( I will bring it to my next fitting and see how it looks!
