Happy Halloween!
I hope that everyone has a happy and safe Halloween weekend!
I hope that everyone has a happy and safe Halloween weekend!
The first year Mike and I were together, we attended 12 weddings together. Since then, we have only gone to 1 or 2 weddings a year. Due to the past couple of months, it seems like 2009 is going to have a few weddings! I mentioned Tess and Kevin and Stevie and Matt. Then I remembered our friends, Rob and Michelle. Hey, since I posted StudioB! pictures of the other newly engaged couples, I thought I may as well put theirs up too!
Oh...and Leslie is getting married in 2 weeks from Saturday! AHHHH! I thought they deserved a StudioB picture too :)
Is it bad that I want to get married again? To Mike, of course!
I want the rest of my wedding pictures too! Patience, I tell myself...patience :)
Thanks Amanda...now I am obsessed with these little Twilight ecards!
These made me laugh...and they are so true!
SO SAD...but so true!
I went to the site to find more Twilight ones but I can't find them!
Unfortunately, this year I will not be dressing up for Halloween OR handing out candy at our new house. My cheerleaders have a game so I will be sitting outside, freezing my rear off at a high school football game.
Honestly, I am not really good at dressing up. Actually...my group of friends are pretty bad at it. I think last year was the first year that we kind of looked decent. I decided to get dressed up in Bina's clothes from India and put A LOT of bronzer on. What do you think? Do I look like I just came back from India? Haha...Not really! Here is a group picture from Halloween 2007.
What was Mike? An ostrich jockey, of course...
This year, some of my friends are gathering in Chicago to party up there. The rest of us will get together at Allison's house for some good ol' Halloween fun (haha...I don't even know what that means...or what it entails!). Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
Stevie and I have been friends since we were 10 years old. Our friendship has taken us from Elementary Poms, voice lessons, and show choir to Gamma Phi, Mizzou, and now marriage!
Tonight, Stevie and I went to practice "The Prayer," which is a song we are singing in Leslie's wedding in a couple of weeks. She was in a little bit of a hurry to get home to her boyfriend who closed on his new house today. She arrived at the new house to a candle-light dinner and proposal and I am SO SO excited for her (and him)!
If you read my comments from yesterday's blog post, Stevie mentioned getting married "some day." Girl, did you know it was coming?!?! I am so so happy for you Stevie and Matt! Congratulations and lots of love!
***Single girls BEWARE. The wedding bug has bitten again*** YOU may be next :)
1.) What is up with this cold? Seriously, I HATE being cold. Hate it! It is supposed to be back up to 70 degrees on Thursday and Friday but I just can't wait until then. Come on, Mother Nature. Just wait a little while longer!
2.) Mike got my flowers yesterday. No reason...just because he is a sweetie :)Look at this pretty little rose...
3.) I want a new camera for Christmas. I want a new digital but I secretly want to get a real camera and I want to learn more about photography. I see so many beautiful pictures taken by non-pro photographers...I am just so jealous. Maybe that will be a summer hobby!
4.) I ate at Wapango tonight with my family. It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised.5.) It is almost 10 PM and Mike is still at work :(
6.) Work is going to start stressing me out in the next couple weeks. I have so much grading to do and conferences are right around the corner.
7.) This past weekend was awesome. I felt like I caught up on sleep and still had plenty of "friend" and "Mike" time. Bina had a very fun Mizzou game party...thanks to our invention of a perverted Catch Phrase.
8.) Mike has his first calligraphy customers. A girl from StlWed is having him do calligraphy for her and she told a friend at work! Two customers down...how many more to go? I love being his pimp (I mean, manager/agent).
9.) I am so sick about the stories in the news. Jennifer Hudson's family tragedy and these moron, ignorant, racist, skinheads who want to assassinate Obama. What is this world coming to? What is wrong with people? It seriously makes me feel sick!
10.) I am going to sing in Leslie's wedding in a few weeks. Stevie and I will sing The Prayer and we are practicing for the first time tomorrow night. I am really excited!
I think I am done for now. Good night and stay warm :)
I recently saw Amy's new post about the "Cuss-o-Meter." It calculates how many times you have cussed on your blog. I can happily report that my result was 0%! I have made a very deliberate attempt to make sure not to curse on my blog. I still think that I have some students/parents/cheerleaders who could be out there reading!
Read more......of Google Reader, that is. My hunny made me a new header...and I like it :) Thanks darling!
Read more...With the holidays around the corner, and my first home to decorate, I am starting to get excited/nervous. Crate and Barrel emailed me the new holiday catalogue and my mind started spinning. For Christmas, obviously we will have a tree. He wants a real tree but I have always grown up with a fake tree. I just love the idea of a nice, clean, fake tree...that won't drip sap, drop pine needles, and stink my house up. However, a real tree does smell good and is really beautiful. There is just something about a real tree. Ya know?!
Lately, I have seen beautiful trees in the stores that have "themes" and are completely decorated by certain color schemes. Growing up, my tree looked like a mix of random ornaments, not matching, not coordinated, but wonderful. They were personalized and all colors, sizes, and shapes.
I am obsessed with ornaments right now. I want Mike and I to start a tradition where we give ornaments to each other each year. I want our friends to do an ornament exchange instead of a gift exchange. Why am I thinking about ornaments all day?
For Hannukah, get got an AWESOME menorah last year for the holidays. I am so so excited to use it this year. Of course, it is from Crate and Barrel and I just love it!
Ohhh...maybe I will get Hannukah ornaments?
I just love those! Oh...AND, we need stockings! I just love these ones...
Do we get matching stockings or "coordinating" ones? I might have to all of these decorations more thought this weekend with a shopping trip :) Anyone else planning to decorate for the holidays?
We decided to have our last dinner with our new friends.
Adios Jamie, Graham, Faye, and Adam...
And adios"all-you-can eat" all-inclusive resort :(
The next morning we woke up to clouds and rain. We had clear and sunny skies for the entire week and I felt bad leaving all of the new arrivals with such yucky weather.
Adios swim-up bar. We had so many great days together...
Adios tan legs. How I miss you so...
Adios jacuzzi. I love you and I will never forget the fun times we had squirting mixed drinks out of a bottle all over each other...
Adios beach and ocean. You injured us a few times, but I forgive you...
Adios beautiful scenery that we loved to take pictures in front of...
Adios to the amazing view of the ocean, hills, and rocks from our room...
Adios Cabo! We will miss you. Thank you for such a wonderful week. A week where we were able to reconnect, de-stress, and come down off of the "high" from our wedding. We hope to see you again someday :)

We woke up from our long night out and decided it was time to relax. We hung out at the pool and I read Twilight...
As we soaked up the sun, they set up a wedding on the beach.
That night, we ate at the hotel's steak house. Check out this delicious meal...
I got to wear my "get-away" dress again too!
The next morning, we decided to finally do something that we wanted to do all week. Swim with the dolphins. We went back and forth about this because it is so so expensive. But we finally decided that this would be the only time that we would pay this much money and we might as well just go for it!
I can honestly say that it was the coolest thing I have ever done. The dolphins are so amazing! Their skin is so soft and they are just so strong and HUGE! We loved it and it was worth every penny. After our swim, we even got to hold a bird (haha..I don't even know what kind of bird it was...toucan? parrot?).
When we got back to our hotel, the party began in the hottub. Our favorite bartender, Carlos, created us some yummy concoctions and put it in a huge bottle.

Are you jealous ladies?! Oh yea, he is all mine! (see the tan legs in the background...that's me...reading Twilight!!!)
After awhile, we were ready to go out and conquer the ocean. By the way, you are not supposed to swim in the ocean at our hotel. There is a strong undertow and HUGE waves. We learned that the hard way!
I thought that I was safe way up on the hill but this next wave, crashed right into me, stole my sunglasses, and filled my suit (and mouth) with sand!!!
We were quickly exhausted (and scared) from the ocean and decided to go back to the pool. We thought this looked like The Notebook. What do you think?
Um...not quite! Another couple of wonderful days!
I really wasn't sure about the casting of Edward Cullen (duh...the sexy vampire of Twilight). I have changed my mind (thanks to Rhonda). This Robert Pattinson kid is pretty hot! Do you agree? .jpg)

YUMMY! I think after dinner, I am going to read some more of Eclipse! AHHH...I am crazy? Are you?
