Holiday Decor?

With the holidays around the corner, and my first home to decorate, I am starting to get excited/nervous. Crate and Barrel emailed me the new holiday catalogue and my mind started spinning. For Christmas, obviously we will have a tree. He wants a real tree but I have always grown up with a fake tree. I just love the idea of a nice, clean, fake tree...that won't drip sap, drop pine needles, and stink my house up. However, a real tree does smell good and is really beautiful. There is just something about a real tree. Ya know?!Lately, I have seen beautiful trees in the stores that have "themes" and are completely decorated by certain color schemes. Growing up, my tree looked like a mix of random ornaments, not matching, not coordinated, but wonderful. They were personalized and all colors, sizes, and shapes.I am obsessed with ornaments right now. I want Mike and I to start a tradition where we give ornaments to each other each year. I want our friends to do an ornament exchange instead of a gift exchange. Why am I thinking about ornaments all day? For Hannukah, get got an AWESOME menorah last year for the holidays. I am so so excited to use it this year. Of course, it is from Crate and Barrel and I just love it!Ohhh...maybe I will get Hannukah ornaments? I just love those! Oh...AND, we need stockings! I just love these ones...Do we get matching stockings or "coordinating" ones? I might have to all of these decorations more thought this weekend with a shopping trip :) Anyone else planning to decorate for the holidays?
