Saturday Shopping Spree

Yesterday, Mike and I went to Crate and Barrel and Bed, Bath, and Beyond to make returns and get some items that we greatly need!

First we went to Mecca (aka Crate and Barrel). Seriously, I love that store! I could be in there forever, I am really could buy almost everything. At one point, Mike said, "What if we won a contest where people came in and made over our entire house with Crate and Barrel items." I think I would maybe die.

Anyway, we ended up returning $350 worth of stuff (which really was only a few items) and we had some giftcards as well. We decided to splurge and get the buffet and hutch we have been wanting since we moved in. I now give you the "Madison Large Hutch and Buffet." I am so excited!!! We really needed a place to put all of our new china and glasses and now we have our Madison. We already have the "Madison" wine tower knock-off (from Target) and it should match perfectly. We don't get it for a couple of weeks but I can't wait!

We also got our new set of everyday glasses. They are called Clark and we really liked them.It felt so great to empty all of our old, ugly glasses and put these beauties in our cabinets.

Next, we headed over to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We had $40 in giftcards and a $100 return. We ended up leaving with an awesome trashcan for the kitchen! Did anyone know that trashcans are a small fortune? Seriously, this one was over $100! It really blew my mind how much they are!I also couldn't stand the hideous and discussing door mat that we had on our front porch. It was the one that the old owners had and I hated it. I saw this mat and (with Mike's permission) grabbed it! I thought it seemed fitting :)When we got home, we decided that we needed an accent table for our living room. There are no lights and we need some type of table for a lamp and a place to set our keys. We found this one on Target.com and bought it since they are offering free shipping on furniture. It is described as dark brown but it looks black to me. That is fine because our living room furniture from World Market is such a dark brown, it really appears black!

I would say that we had a successful Saturday! We were supposed to get over to Macy's too but ran out of time. Maybe next weekend. We are going to drive up to Ikea on Saturday to pick up some living room furniture and any other things that we find :)
