One Month Anniversary?
Mike and I decided to eat the top tier of our cake on our 1-month anniversary instead of our 1-year. We have heard from so many people that the cake isn't good after a year and is usually covered in freezer burn. We will try to save some of it that long but we are going to dig into the cake this week!
So here is my question...when should we celebrate our 1-month anniversary? We were married on August 31st, the last day of August. There isn't a 31st of September so when do we eat our cake? The last day of September (which is tomorrow)? Or October 1st (since it is one day after the 30th) which is kind of like September 31st?
What do you think? And why the heck is this a hard decision for me? Haha....I am a dork :)
You are lucky you even have cake! My family ate my top layer thinking that it was ok to eat it. They didn't realize it was my top layer. The day after my wedding I went to my mom's house and I was asking where it was. They said they ate it. Oh well...it gives me an excuse to go get some fresh cake on our anniversary.
I would eat it on Sept. 30th.
We did the same thing only we ate ours when we got back from our honeymoon.:) Then for our 1 year we order a replica of our top tier. If it were me I would celebrate tomm on the 30th. Happy 1Month Anniversary!!
That's such a great idea! I wish that we would've done that too!
I say that you do it on the 30th of Sept. That's the end of the month and your wedding day was at the end of August...
I don't know... that's not a very convincing reason but oh well... do it as you wish and enjoy!
We decided to just get a new little miniature cake made for our 1 year. We are big fans of cake, just not freezer burn! And, if it's terribly hard to choose what day, why not eat it at midnight? haha. Who knows where my mind got that one. Thanks for letting me know that you read my blog! yours is lovely!

We ate our top tier as soon as we got back from our honeymoon. We didn't see any reason to wait. We'll just get a replica next year..
I would eat it on the 1st, that's technically 31 days, right? :)
What a great idea! I have no idea on the day! What a tough decision...better you than me. ;)
One month already - wow! As for when to eat the cake - I say eat it both nights! :-) I'm guessing there would be enough for 4 pieces, but I'm not the best judge of spatial things.
