Holiday Decorations...finally!

We bought our tree, shopped for decorations, and finally trimmed it this weekend! I hate to say, it looks great!!!

On Saturday, we hit up Garden Ridge first for ornaments. We decided that we would go for the metallics as our "theme" with red accents. We bought SO many things there! I love that place!!! And we ran into Mrs. Jamie who was also shopping for holiday decorations. After "knowing" Jamie for awhile through the internet, it was great to finally meet her in person. It is so funny because she actually recognized Mike before she saw me.

After Garden Ridge, we got a few things from Target and then Hobby Lobby. Here is a picture of the damage...I had been looking forward to decorating for awhile so we jumped right into trimming the tree. The tree is huge...I know.We ran out of time and lights at the bottom so I had to finish the rest today! Here are some close-ups...I also decorated the mantle! We got the garland with ornaments from Pier One, candles from Garden Ridge, stockings from Crate and Barrel (I have been wanting these for a long time), candle holders from Target, and stocking holders from Walmart. I love the combo!
Here is the left side of the mantle...Right side of the mantle...Oh...and I got a tree skirt from Garden Ridge!!!What a fun time of the year. Sadly, my menorah is the only Hanukkah decoration we have right now. I wanted to get a dreidel ornament from Crate and Barrel was it was tiny and was $10! I will wait till after the holidays to pick up that one!That is all for now! Mike is going to kill me for this one but I just had to post it. We had a little too much fun in the hat section of Target! I actually did buy the hat. Mike didn't get one.
