Basement Bathroom rehab
Mike and his brother, Chris, have been working for the past week on our basement bathroom. I don't talk about that bathroom often. I hate it. It is purple, small, and nasty. We lovingly call it the "poop bathroom." When we had problems with the upstairs bathroom this summer, they had to rip out the ceiling of the basement bathroom. It looked like this for about 3 months.
The non-existent ceiling...
In the corner, there are ugly purple pipes that the boys decided to build a frame around.
The boys built frames for the ceiling and around the pipes and began dry walling. The built a drop ceiling and put in a can light and quickly it started to look like this...
No more pipes!!!
The boys are currently mudding and sanding the walls. Now we just need to figure out what color to paint the new bathroom!

wow, it's coming along nicely! as far as color suggestions, i'm no good at those things... but i would go for something bold, like a dark green and have brown/bronze accents or something. or like a dark blue... or maybe even something crazy like yellow.
but mainly i just wanted to post to express my jealousy. :) i wish i had a house to do fun stuff to!
