Basement Makeover
We after we redid the bathroom, we decided to keep going. (When I say "we", it really means Mike did the work and I gave him ideas, support, and positive reinforcement.)
The basement bar looked like this before. Cream wall, white bar, and brown mini-fridge.You can't really tell in this picture but this wall in the basement was kinda strange. It was like wooden planks in a row. Maybe you can tell better in this zoomed in picture.
Mike and his brother put drywall up to cover the "wooden wall" and we painted it the same blue/gray as the bathroom.
The ceiling is black and we weren't really digging the white bar with the brown fridge. Since it worked and we didn't want to buy a new one, Mike took matter into his own hands. He went to Home Depot, bought some appliance paint and after almost blowing up our house, he successfully painted everything black!
We love it and it blends with the room so much better! Now, all we have to do it paint all of the wires along the ceiling black too!
It looks great! I can't wait until we start working on our basement. It's finished, but we'd love to add a bar and pool table down there.
Looks great! Thanks for letting me know about the Browers!!! Just sent Michael an email :)
wow wow wow, you have quite the handy husband. everything looks great... which can only mean he will be able to work the same magic on your kitchen - can't wait to see pics of that next!!
I am so impressed!! It looks great.
The basement looks AWESOME! I can't wait to see it in person.
It looks terrific. I so long for a basement, but right now our basement is a parking garage for our loft building. lol. Oh well.
