Holiday Traditions
I was tagged by Jennifer over at This Girl Loves Pink. The task is to tell about your Christmas traditions. This is our first holiday season as a married couple so honestly, we don't really have traditions yet. However, we are starting them this year. We celebrate a lot during this season. I am Jewish and Mike is Greek Orthodox. This holiday season, we will go back and forth between our families 6 times! I am getting exhausted (and stuffed) thinking about it! Here are the traditions that we are beginning this year:
1.) An ornament exchange between Mike and I. We will put our names and the year on each one. I haven't gotten mine for hubby this year but I am going to pick one up this weekend.
2.) Send a holiday card. I did it this year for the first time and I was pretty proud of myself. I want to save them in some sort of album so we can look through them over the years.
3.) Christmas morning by ourselves at our house. This is going to be a hard one. We have been doing Christmas morning with our respective families for our entire lives. Instead of choosing one or going back and forth between the two, we decided that we will spend the morning together at our house. We will exchange our gifts and home and enjoy breakfast. (THEN, we will go over to my parents house for lunch and his for dinner.)
Of course, I know that we will start many new traditions when we have children. But for now, it is just the two of us. However, I look forward to starting many new traditions in the future!
I don't know how many people I am supposed to tag so I am going to chose 8 because there are 8 nights of Hanukkah!
