What time do you go to bed?

Random question, I know. I get so tired, so early and wonder if other people around my age are the same way. I feel like I could go to sleep at any given time, any day. My bedtime used to be 10:30. Then it changed to 10:00. Over the past couple of weeks, I have started getting into bed at 9:30. Part of it has to do with the running and waking up at 5:15 every other day. (Speaking of running...thank you SO much for the encouragement and advice! Mike and I are going to Fleet Feet to get new shoes on Saturday.)

When I go to bed at 9:30 and get up at 6:00, I get 8 1/2 hours of sleep! Isn't that a little much???
How much sleep do you get?

I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I usually go to bed around 10:30. I would go earlier but Rob stays up late and I try to spend as much time with him as I can. 9:30 sounds good. I get up at six.

But, I'm ALWAYS tired. I could sleep 8 hours, take a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and sleep another 8 hours and still feel like I could use a nap. I think there's something wrong with ME not you!

Ahhhh, sleep. I wish I got more! I never go to bed before 11pm unless I'm sick, usually closer to midnight or later and I wake up around 6:30. So I have the opposite problem!

More sleep is good. Not getting enough sleep like me, is actually associated with weight gain/being overweight (check) and other bad things. So you go girl...Go to sleep that is ;-)

I also am a teacher but have had terrible sleep habits my entire life. I try to go to bed by 10 and I am try to get up at 6. But I usually don't fall asleep until 11-midnight. I suck at sleeping.

I can't even answer this question without skewing your results....since pg I can easily hit the hay at 9 pm and wake up at 6:30 every day. Now I can push it til 10 if I'm lucky. Used to be 10:30-11 consistently.

If your body needs sleep, take it! I guarantee it's all about the running.

I definitely go to bed midnight or later. But, I also don't have to be at work until 10. When I worked normal hours, I went to bed around 11 or midnight.

Clearly my sleeping times will be absolutely no help to you but I will share anyway:)

I go to bed at about 6:30am and fall asleep at about 7:30am (soon after TJ leaves for work). My waking time varies but is consistently around 4pm, just in time for me to take a shower and be waiting on the couch for TJ to get home from work. He then proceeds to cook me a great meal. I have a great life:) This might be helpful to you to know that I do get about 8-9 hours of sleep on a normal day. That said, on the weekends when I actually have to wake up before sunset, my sleep schedule gets very messed up (or straightened out whichever way you look at it). On Sundays/ Mondays I can end up sleeping 12-13 hours.

Between 9-9:30 and I'm up at 4:30 every morning.

Sarah  – (September 30, 2009 at 5:48 AM)

I used to never get in bed before 10:45. Nowadays though, I get up before 5:00, and if I'm not at least in bed by 10:00, I'm not happy the next day. Last night I was asleep by 9:45.

Before the puppy, my alarm went off at 4:50, and I was up by 5:00. Now Henry wakes up at 4:30 ready to go potty. I'm just dreading the day when I don't get to see the sun any more. It's coming.

I get up at 5 AM every day, and I try to be in bed by 10 or 10:30. I also sneak in a little 20 minute nap most days on the way home from work (Matt and I carpool). If I'm super tired, I'll go to bed early but I've also been known to stay up late.

I usually try to be in bed between 9:30 and 10, and I get up at 5:30. When I have an early meeting I try to go to bed before 9:30 because I have to be up at 4:30.

I love sleep way too much to give it up. :)

Anna  – (September 30, 2009 at 8:54 AM)

I am in bed by 10 and wake up at 6. (Usually) That's pretty much stayed the same since before pregnancy. By the time 10 rolls around I can usually be found nodding off on the couch. So sad!

Sarah  – (September 30, 2009 at 9:24 AM)

Lauren, your new profile picture is gorgeous! :)

And I go to bed usually between 10 and 10:30. I set my alarm for 5:44 a.m., but keep hitting snooze until 6:30. It's the only way. I can't just spring out of bed the first time the alarm goes off.

Well sister, I am the queen of sleeping... I go to bed between 9:30-10:00 (ocassionly 10:30) everynight... even weekends, and dont get up until 7:30! haha. I would like to blame it on pregnancy, but to be honest, I have always required a lot of sleep. Cant wait to see you guys! 10 days!!!!

Well, I'm not a good person to ask because I'm knocked up, but I go to bed at around 9 or 9:30 and get up at 7. Yes, that's 10 hours of sleep.

Before I was pregnant, I went to bed at about 9:30 and got up at 5:45 to work out. So that's still a little more than 8 hours. I've always needed a lot of sleep.

Angie  – (September 30, 2009 at 11:15 AM)

First off, your new profile pic is SO pretty! You look hella gorge.
Back to sleep: Before I was with child I usually got in bed around 10ish, read my book for about 20 mins, then slept until 6:30 or 7am. That's 8.5 to 9 hours. Now that I prego I fall asleep on the couch around 8:30 so I'm getting a little more sleep. I'm lucky in that I have no problems falling asleep and staying asleep. My hubs can't sleep at all but he won't seek help. I always feel well rested and happy. Hope that helps!

Maria  – (September 30, 2009 at 12:24 PM)

I don't think 8.5 hours of sleep is too much at all. I think it's great! I fall asleep between 10:00-10:30pm and get up around 6:30pm.

Mary  – (September 30, 2009 at 3:13 PM)

In a perfect world, I would get 9.5 hours/night. That's when I feel good. Apparently I've always been like that-my mom would have to keep me awake as a baby to see my dad when he came home at 6:30. If it weren't for spending time with the animals in the evening, I would probably go to bed between 9 and 9:30, but usually turn in b/w 10 and 10:30.

P.S. You have an award over on my blog!

Chichi {From Now Till I Do}  – (October 1, 2009 at 1:25 AM)

I'm a bit of a night owl, so tended to go to bed pretty late, but recently I have found myself conked out by 10pm. The great thing now is, I don't wake up so tired, as I used to. I feel a lot more refreshed!
