I am exhausted!

I always think that I will catch up on my sleep over the weekend but this weekend, I just got further behind.

On Friday night, we ate dinner at Oishi Sushi in Chesterfield to celebrate Mike's brother's birthday. Danny won't be in town for his birthday so we celebrated early and it was delish. Look at all of this yummy food! We ended up being at Mike's parent's house until pretty late so it was off to bed around midnight for me.

Saturday morning, we woke up early to work on the kitchen. When Mike was getting dressed, he somehow threw out his back. He was screaming and writhing in pain. He said it was like a constant charlie-horse and very painful. Sadly, he was on the couch for most of the day and his brother, Chris, had to do all of the work. BUT, the sub floor was laid and it is all ready for tile!

We were so lucky to get a visit from Tess and her English bulldog, Truman. He is so freaking cute and I couldn't get enough of him!He is definitely a beggar and he was just fascinated with Chris. Truman followed him around and watched Chris' every move.
The guys decided to stay in and watch a movie because I had a work karaoke night with the ladies. Here are the 3 studs that have been working on the kitchen for the last 2 weeks!Mali, Nick's adorable doggie, came over to hang out too!While the boys stayed in watching "The Dark Knight," I was out singing with my work friends. We had such a great time and I think that we might have started a tradition. We will definitely do that again!This morning was a little rough but we spent the day looking for flooring and countertops. We came home with new tile and it will be put down tomorrow or Tuesday. Tonight, we are painting so I will have some new kitchen update pictures soon!
