Calligraphy,
Mike,
Wedding
Throughout my wedding planning, I visited the blog, Elizabeth Ann Designs, very often. I have never submitted pictures or even comments to wedding websites before but about a month ago, I decided to submit our wedding invitations to their DIY contest. Someone on Stlwed let me know that our invitations were featured today! How exciting :) Maybe we will get some more calligraphy customers. I didn't really think that this would turn into a "business" but with 4 "clients" already, I guess it is actually happening!
I noticed this tonight and commented over there. How fun! Congrats.
I love your invites! You and your husband did a great job. I'm getting married and we're thinking of taking on the task of making our own invitations too. Like you we would like to use the damask print as well as the color green. If you don't mind me asking how much did your invites end up costing you? Just trying to figure out if making the invites is more cost effective for us... thanks!!
Lauren, I love your blog. I actually found you through your wedding invitation design entry on the Elizabeth Anne Designs website. My fiance and I LOVE your invitations! I think the calligraphy is nice, but I really want to know if you have ever thought about duplicating your wedding invitation for a price. It looks like it took some time to come together, so you may not be interested in duplicating the design for others, but I thought I would inquire about it (and the price) just in case (just the laser printing - not the calligraphy). Our wedding is scheduled for May 16, 2009, so I have a little bit of time, but our jobs give us little free time (and I have little one that takes up what little free time I do have).
Please let me know. Thank you!
Michelle
