We really WANT to give the little girl more freedom so she isn't in her crate all day. Today was her trial period. Only 3 1/2 hours and what does she do? THIS....Awesome...too bad you can't help by smile when you see her. What a brat!
Oh Mia! I told Mike on Facebook that this happens the first time, every time! I can't wait until we go through it with Norman. Next time will be better!
oh no! How old is she? Louie was crated until he was about year old and then he was fine without it. He, however, never loved the crate (would cry, etc.) Many dogs really do like their crate though and feel safe there, leaving them anxious being left out of it. Maybe she is one of them! Or maybe she just needs to get a little older. Good luck!
You're absolutely right, I couldn't help but smile when I saw this picture! I have a 5 year old boxer and I still come home to surprises if I'm not careful! She's famous for putting her paws on our counter and seeing what she can find. Good luck : )
P.S. I love the new layout and header. I tried to comment when you first did it, but this type of comment box (where it's embedded in the post) is blocked at work. Boo!
Oh, Mia! Lola did things like this when we first let her out of her crate, too. She once completely chewed through the wires to some expensive speakers (that was fun). But now she's almost four and she has run of the house during the day and hasn't touched a thing. They grow out of it!
BAD GIRL MIA!! Thank you for this PSA as I will now not be letting Charlie Danger out of his crate until he is at least 8. Hahaha. And I love the new header!! (how far behind am I on that one, eekk?~?!?!!?)
Oh no Mia! Ozzy did similar work on our couch! I want SO badly to trust him and haven't been able to since. She's so darn cute though it would be impossible to stay mad at her sweet little face!
Oh my gosh! We can totally relate...this will be the first of many (sorry to say!) Bodde discovered he could knock down the garbage can, unmake the beds, unroll the toilet paper, dig up potted house plants, and obtain anything off the counter he saw fit. BUT, it does get better and takes some time/trial and error. Leave me a note if you want some stories on what worked for us!

oh my gosh, the look on her face..... awesome.
Oh my goodness! My jaw dropped. I've read that some dogs get anxiety when they are left out of their crates...maybe she's one of those dogs??
She look soo sad. We still leave our one dog in her crate - after two years. I still can trust her.
Oh snap, what a bad Mia! She does look sorry tho.
Oh my!!
