Back to School

Where did this summer go? Looking back at the summer, I can say that my decision to not work and not take masters classes was the best I could have made. It was so relaxing, I was able to travel, and most importantly, I was able to plan my wedding with less stress than normal.

My mom and I are best friends. We are so much alike but at times, we drive each other crazy. I would definitely say that she has wanted to smack me this summer and the urge was often mutual. However, there really is no way that I could have gotten through this summer without her. She has been so much help to me throughout the whole wedding process and I truly appreciate everything she has done. I LOVE YOU , MOM! I have been walking around for the past couple weeks about my "stress free bubble." I am trying to stay calm through these next few weeks back at work and before the wedding. However, I am starting to feel stress sneaking up on me. Being back to work just makes me get a little crazy and I start feeling overwhelmed. My classroom still looks like a tornado has blown through and "Meet the Teacher" is tomorrow from 3-5. My students will be in my classroom in less than 24 hours! AHHHHH! I know it will all come together...it always does!

I just keep telling myself, "in 20 days, you will be on the beach in Mexico!"

You seriously blow me away! I remember leading up to last Labor Day Weekend, I was SUCH a nutjob :) It will be fabulous, and I only wish I could be a fly on the wall at your wedding.

Your mother must be a phenomenal women to be such a willing participant in all this craziness! Good luck with the start of the new school year - and I'll keep my fingers crossed for a calm few first weeks :)

Oh my god... I remember how excited you were to have the summer off. Wasn't that just last month?!?! Where has this summer gone?? Good luck with the first day of class. What do you teach?

your mom is too cute, and I'm glad you had a nice summer not working. Well deserved! And whoo hoo for Mexico. Keep thinking positive thoughts and remain stress free. It's going to be over before you know it!
