Where to go from here?
After my last post, I realized that a lot of my pictures from previous posts were "gone". I am a lazy blogger, never really gave it my "all", and usually just copied and pasted pictures from Facebook. I never created a Flickr account and either uploaded directly from my camera, "stole" from Facebook, or saved to my desktop and uploaded. Well, that bit me in the butt.
I guess something changed with the way that Facebook hosts or formats pictures because they don't show up in Blogger anymore. See what I mean here or here. I don't even know what to dooooooooooo. It is so frustrating and totally my fault.
I just want to call it all quits and give up. How can I even go back and fix this? Honestly, I don't even remember which pictures were in these posts? Ethan's birth story, Italy, and other favorite posts :(
Mike thinks I should just start a new blog that focuses on our new journey in our new house. I just hate to lose the last 5 years.
What do you think? Any suggestions on how to save some of these posts? Should I just start a new blog? Is blogging totally lame now and has it just run its course? I'd love your thoughts!
That really sucks about your pictures, im so sorry. I love your blog but never comment. I think starting a new blog isnt a bad idea but i hope you dont stop blogging for good.
It seems like a new blog would be easier. And you could always do 'reflection' posts like on Ethan's birthday you could re-do the birth story. Sorry that happened it totally sucks.
I like reading your blog! Don't quit!
Ugh Lauren I didn't know this happened to you =(. That sucks really bad. I think that you should just move on and continue! Going back and re-picking photos from your favorite posts won't be that bad (maybe even fun?). I know a lot about your life but I love reading your blog. Don't stop! xoxo
Well, you definitely shouldn't stop! I like the idea of starting fresh, but I know how tough that would be to lose everything. I've got some on mine that don't always show up. I hope you figure something out!
No, no, no! Don't stop! I would just continue using your current blog. Is it really an issue that the old pictures are gone? I mean, maybe the posts don't look like right, but you won't lose the words. And going forward, you can still decide if you want to use another process with the pictures to make sure they'll stick around. I really hope you continue blogging!
Yikss. I hope mind isn't like that but i've always uploaded them from the computer? Keep at it, start over, stay here. I'm easy to please, lol! I love that i can look back and remember things from when Brady was a baby. It's amazing how much you forget!
Oh, I hope you don't stop blogging!
So looking forward to see the new house and Ethan growing up.
You are such a lovely family!
;)
Actually, thanks for posting this so I can think twice about how I upload the pics to my blog...so hopefully others can learn from this too! I have always enjoyed reading your blog and how it has evolved over the years, so I vote you keep it going either with this one of new!
