Donations for Haiti!
Hello, my dear blog readers!
My heart goes out to the people of Haiti and I want to help. I was already planning on making a donation to The American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund so I thought I would add a fun little twist. I am going to follow Katie's lead and donate $0.50 for every person that comments on this post (up to $200) from now until February 18th (one month from today). There are 266 people that subscribe to my blog and many others that casually read and visit. I want everyone of you to step out of Google Reader and comment.
Anonymous posts won't count!!! You have to put in your name and/or blog and tell me something about yourself and if you are doing/have done something to help the people of Haiti. I also challenge you to match my donation or ask for comments for donations on your blog. Thanks for helping!
I'm a total blog lurker. (and formerly a fellow st. louis teacher!--we moved to Jefferson City at the beginning of this school year). Anyway, I donated a couple items to crafthope.etsy.com and bought a quilt from them. all the proceeds go to Doctors without Borders, who are helping treat the victims in Haiti right now. Thanks so much for your generosity. I'm overwhelmed with how much all my blogger buddies are doing.
Great idea! We donated over the weekend and hope that the Red Cross will be able to bring some relief to the area soon!
Honestly, posting here and on other blogs willing to donate is the most I can do right now. Your generosity will go a long way.
Great idea! I am donating to the Red Cross as well.
What a wonderful idea! It's so hard to watch the news.. I feel so helpless. I too am making a donation and hopefully it will help in some way. I'd do the same thing as you, but I just started my blog, so not enough readers yet. ;)
What generosity you and Katie have! I donated to the Red Cross and my office put together a huge drive this weekend. Keep up the good work!
You rock. :) A sizable donation just isn't in the budget right now with grad school wrapping up, so I'm going to have to stick to helping out this way.
Awesome! Great idea!
Wonderful idea, Lauren!
With our unexpected kitchen blowup, we have really found ourselves in constricted budget land... thanks for doing this!
Awesome idea! So much help is needed down there right now. =(

AWESOME idea! I donated to the Red Cross last week. I work closely with them on a few accounts, so they are near and dear to my heart. Thanks for this inspirational post, friend! xo.
Way to go, Lauren! I hope all your lurkers come out of the woodwork.
I think this is a wonderful idea. I am a subscriber to your blog and even tried the running podcast and really enjoyed them. Also I have loved getting to see your husband's photography! I am a very very amature photographer :) feel free to check out my blog! http://dreamingofmakingmyown.blogspot.com/
Awesome idea! :)
Yay!! This is such a great idea and I need to jump on the bandwagon, but I think I'm going to have a baby first, lol.
I like this idea. I did that cell phone text donation thing to the Red Cross
I usually lurk here, but I'm popping in to be counted. I love your leveled headed style.
We've donated to MSF/DWB, and to the Red Cross. I have to tear myself away from the TV, it hurts so much to watch.
This is such a great idea! I will follow your lead and match your donation.
Love you!!
great idea lauren!
Cute idea! I donated through my church. I hope you reach your goal.
What an awesome thing you are doing! We were on a cruise last week when the earthquake happen, our cruise line started accepting donations, we donated through them. We gave the rest of our spending money and don't regret it one bit.
Wow! Great idea!
Thanks for the reminder about this on today's post. I read it in GR and totally forgot to come here and comment.
Awesome job Lauren. My office has raised over $3,000 during dress down days and they gave the money to the Red Cross as well.
Fantastic idea Lauren! I am going to a benefit next Friday night at 3 Sinks Gallery (in Webster, near Big Bend and Elm). My aunt has donated art as have some big STL artists. The Red Cross has partnered with Julie (the gallery owner) and all proceeds go to Haiti relief via the Red Cross. I can't wait to purchase art for a cause. I've also done the text msgs to Yele and RC.
This is such a great idea! Love how you are reaching out to help people you have never met!
I meant to comment earlier so thanks for reminding me! We donated to the victims last night during the telethon. I wish we could do more.
Lauren, this isan awesome thing you are doing!
What a generous gesture, Lauren!
Hi! It's been awhile! I donated by texting and adding $10 to my cell phone bill this month. Also, rounding up to the next dollar every time I go to the grocery store (which is far too often).
I'm jumping on your bandwagon late, but better late than never! What a great idea and very generous of you :-)
I'm Maria, and I donated to the Red Cross text $10 thing.
Love it!
Commenting! ;)
Cha ching! :D
Awesome idea, Lauren!
It's me, Kate!
What a great idea to do this. I hope you meet your goal. We have done a few things at school, but I still need to personally donate.
I'm also on stlwed and wanted to check out some of your wedding pictures. I work for a non-profit so when I saw the word "charity" I had to click. This is a great idea!
I'm VERY late to post but great idea Lauren!
