Kids are so honest (too honest)
Of course, I have gotten the "did you cut your hair" question a few times. (School only started 13 minutes ago...they are in PE right now.)
BUT...I have gotten multiple ones like this..
EXACT QUOTES..."You shouldn't have done that. It looked better before."
"I don't like your haircut. I liked it longer."
"Why did you do that?"
Wow...thanks guys. I know that our "community conversation" will be this morning when they get back. The subject will be "What to do when you think something negative. Say it or keep it to yourself?"
Eh, they're just kids. Your hair looks great, and it'll be an opportunity to teach them the importance of thinking before they speak. Although, I still haven't completely mastered that lesson. :)
dude, these kids think that miley cyrus is cool and that santa claus exists. what do they know?! :) it might sting a little bit, but try to shrug it off. i think all of your adult friends have already confirmed that your new cut looks FABULOUS.
I could never be a teacher...I'm sure I would come up with a smart ars "Well your hair isn't cute either!" I was thinking you taught high school but I hope they wouldn't be so bold. What grade do you teach?
Aren't kids the best? :) Remember, (and I know you know this) that kids often times don't like what they're not used to.
OOOh, one time, I had a student tell me had a big zit on my face... it sparked the same sort of conversation you're going to have. I think I actually put a bandaid on my face to "detract" from said pimple after it was pointed out. ;)

I got a lot of weird looks from nurses on the floor today, and a few that I rarely even work with commented that they liked it. Wow, nothing like a little haircut to get people all riled up! :)
I agree with everyone. You're cute new do rock and kids are just kids. I usually love the stuff that shoots out of their mouths...unless it's something negative about me!
