And today I cried...

First day back to work. I was tired but the day went alright. It was even a bit fun seeing everyone again and getting my classroom ready. But then I got home. Past 6:00. After sitting in tons of traffic. Making dinner, feeding baby, washing diapers, bathing baby. And before I knew it, it was bedtime. 8:00 and I feel like I didn't even see him today. As I read him a few books before bed, I started to cry. His little body curled up on mine, "reading" his book outloud and pointing to the pictures, and my tears just flowed. I stared at his little feet and smelled his newly wash hair and cried. Oh, how he will grow this school year. He will learn new things, and I'll miss them. I really didn't know how hard it would be to go back. But I know that tomorrow will be better. I'm praying that tomorrow will be easier.

I have been back at work for almost 5 months but we just switched from having an nanny at our house to a daycare. It is so hard. Some days I still cry leaving him, but it does get easier. I hope it continues to get easier for you too.

Oh no! I think after bath time is SO precious, when babies are freshly cleaned & in their little pajamas - pretty sure I would've cried too! I hope your days back will get easier :)

Hugs mama. You will get thru this transition just fine. Tears are okay and wine is better. :)

Ditto Julia! I love the age that Ethan is at now, everything is so fun....though Brady is very fun now, he's just uh, more exhausting, lol. I'm dreading going back this time but I know it's going to be hard for awhile but i'll survive. It's just i have two this time, you know? :(

asics shoes will help so much with knee pain, you may want to give it a try before you stop all together. Also the way you run can challenge your body. Look at your form, are you bouncy or straight as you run
Good luck you you!

Love that little babe, mine is 16 months as well and she literally melts my heart!
