35/33

So, the real countdown is on! On Monday, I hit 35/35...35 weeks down and 35 days to go. That makes today my 35/33. Crazy since the doctor's last goal for me is 36 weeks. So close I can taste it!!!

Totally survived the wedding. I joked so long about going into labor on the dance floor and the fact that it could have been a reality was kind of crazy. But thankfully it didn't happen and we enjoyed a beautiful day with wonderful friends. Here's a few pictures...
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. Not sure if I want her to check my progress or not (but I might not have a choice if I'm a preterm laborer). At 35w4d, I still feel like it's early and knowing that I was 1 cm dilated, really freaked me out. I'll have another appointment next Thursday so maybe she will just wait and check me then.

I still need to post pictures of my showers. They were so wonderful and I got some amazing gifts. I am always overwhelmed by how generous people are. It really is such a great feeling to be "showered" with so much love by the people you love the most.

I did receive some cloth diapers from my mom and mother-in-law. They got me some BumGenius 4.0s. I'm not fully committing to exclusively cloth diapering. I feel overwhelmed by the whole process, all of the options/choices/products, and I wasn't able to go to Cotton Babies during my semi-bedrest state. So I have a start and I look forward to learning more and giving it a shot.

Oh...by the way...I know I am big. Yes, I'm sure I'm not having twins. No, I'm not due next week. Yes, Mr. Custodian, I heard you say "woah" under your breath when I walked by. And no, I'm not about to pop. But thanks.

Tonight, I'm going to go downstairs and do my first few loads of baby laundry! So exciting!

Glad you were able to enjoy the wedding! Hope Baby Boy hangs in there a little longer for you. You still look great-hope you're feeling good too!

Aren't those comments the worst? At least they're almost over then you'll get showered with parenting advice :)

Julia Goolia  – (April 20, 2011 at 8:04 PM)

you are just the cutest, tell everyone with their comments to suck it. I swear, pregnant women are either 'big' or 'small'---never a perfect happy medium according to strangers. I got the other end of it and it was JUST as annoying, trust me.

YAY for making it this far. SO freaking excited for you, mama. Have I ever mentioned that? :)

oh, those comments are just dumb. They don't ever stop either! :) Sheesh, you're getting close momma! You'll have that baby in your arms in no time!!!!!

I have to agree with Julia! I'm so happy you made it to your goal and I can't wait until we get to see pictures of your little guy!

And, regardless of the size of your belly (which I happen to think is PERFECT!) I think you are just drop dead gorgeous. And I'm totally not just saying that. That's going to be one cute baby!

You are gorgeous and I love you!

Yay for cloth diapers! They are super easy you are going to be surprised. I too was super overwhelmed but once you get going the pocket diapers are super easy to work with!

I would just use disposables for the first few weeks. All you need to do is get a garbage can - plastic kind with a pail liner. Use the pocket diapers just like disposables. When you change the diaper just take the insert out and put everything in the can. Every other day or so wash the diapers and that's it! I have used Crunchy Clean and Rockin Green and have liked both.

All I do is run a cold prewash with detergent and a little vinegar. Then I run a hot wash cold rinse - full wash cycle with NO detergent or anything in there. Then I do put them in the drier, but you can line dry too. That's it!

It is a huge money saver and you are majorly helping the environment.

Goo luck for the rest of your pregnancy!

You look gorgeous! I'm so glad you were able to enjoy the wedding. Congrats on making it so far. You are so close and I am so excited for you! I think once you actually use cloth, you'll see it isn't as overwhelming as all the research and choices make it seem. Good luck! You'll do great.

Love it! You look adorable! I haven't seen you in real life but I doubt you look big enough to be housing twins!!

You look great at the wedding (and always). Kate looks great, too. Can't believe you are so close...yay for baby laundry!

I got the twins comment too. Ugh!!

On a brighter note, you look great!!!

Well, call me crazy but through your whole post I thought you looked so small and compact :) Very adorable, if I do say so myself!

But as someone who has been there...I know what it feels like to hear how huge you are. I heard it from my own mother... as early as 15 weeks!
