Running
As you all know, almost 1 year ago, Mike and I started training for a 5K. We used Couch to 5K and I couldn't rave more about the program. Then in March, we participated in the GO!St. Louis runs. Mike did the 1/2 marathon and I ran the marathon relay (6 miles). I felt great after my run and was really enthusiastic about running again.
I am proud to announce that today started Week 3 of my 1/2 marathon training. On October 3rd, Mike and I will be running the Lewis and Clark 1/2. We are using Hal Higdon's Novice Half Marathon Plan and I have been tracking my miles and times on Daily Mile. I love Daily Mile because it gives you tons of stats on your distance and pace. I have already run 17.6 miles and I started 2 weeks ago!

Jason and I are doing the Lewis and Clark too! And I am following the exact same training program. I'm starting week 3 this week. So far so good! I'm definitely nervous too, but also excited to meet the challenge. Good luck!
So exciting, Lauren! I contemplated walking/running the Lewis & Clark 1/2, but I can't throw that in with CPA studying. At least not if I want to retain my sanity. :)
You can do it! You rock :)
Awesome!! You are going to do great, I'm sure. Daily Mile is sweet. I love it. I started the C25K a while ago, but had to hold off on it. I can't wait to get back into it. I love how you ease into running with it.
Lauren, you are going to rock that half-marathon! You've been so successful in running so far, I know you will do great. I admire all the people who are braving the heat and humidity to train for the Lewis and Clark. You are a better woman than I!
Congratulations on taking the plunge! You will do great and that plan is awesome. So excited to read about your progress!
Go Lauren! You're going to do great running your first half!
